Dearest Children...
Gotta couple three stories to tell you folks about for this past week. Lets just say I filled my goody bag of stories this past week and wont even be able to tell you all of them. God Bless Montana!
Some thoughts have really been on my mind last week. Missionary work has really been discussed and I thought of the horrible missionary that I was when I back living in the GLORY DAYS of GILBERT. Oh how wretched was my state. For I was decieved. THOSE.... were NOT the GLORY DAYS. If I would have shared the gospel more then, I say, then, they surely would have been glorious. But, I was selfish and immature and completely ignorant. Moral of the story. DC 60:2. Read it folks and feel the guilt. I think the thing I am most excited about for home is this very subject that I feel prompted to write about to you today and also the very reason Im on a mission. Yes. TO INVITE
The week was a success. Our zone set a goal to find 10 GATORS this week. We found 12. bam. WILL SMITH. We also have 5 Baptismal dates. Not to shabby for the Big Sky country. We had Stake/Regional Conference this week being broadcast from Salt Lake to WYO, COLOR, and MONT. It was .... pound pound. Saturday night we had some awesome speakers. One of the Stronger meetings Ive been to on my mission. Vaughan Jenkins was one of the speakers. I have a copy of his talk. I will send it to you. I think you would like it. Sunday we had Elder Hallstrom, President Uchtdorf, Elder Perry and Sister Cook. It was..... pound pound pound. TOO good. Lots of good things were talked about. Almost forgot. The boys we have been working with at the college brought 5 non members to church for the conference and said there might be even more next sunday. Im Proud of my boys. I call them my children. The one kid, Austin, is a really likeable guy. I guess lots of the kids see him walk around campus on sunday with white shirt and tie and ask him where her is going and then just invites them to come. Its pretty rad. I am going to be very sad if I get transferred. We will find out all of that info this Friday.
As you know, we spent a couple three days in Glasgow and Poplar. What a treat. you couldnt pay me enough money to live in either of those places. Ironically, it was a good time and very uplifting and helpful to the Elders in those areas. (Deleted Story)
The same day, in the evening time, we went over to a part member families house to teach the husband. (Oops another deleted story)
As for our Investigators, D was back in UT for the weekend and is doing awesome. He will probably get baptized in the winter when he can have all of his family, friends, etc there for him. He is doing awesome. J and J have been busy, which is a good thing and we havent been able to see them for a while. There are others we are trying to see and others we have contacted but won't get followups on until this week. In Glendive we have a handicap lady getting baptized this Sunday. She is adopted by her brother and lives with him and his wife. We have been teaching her and she wants to get baptized. I like her a lot. Thats it.
It snowed 2 inches last friday and didn't melt till the following morning. Cant wait for the winter. Its back up to 65 today. Its september. This place they called me to on my mission is a crazy place.
Love.
